In winter there is a free Mountain Explorer shuttle connecting Bethel village and Sunday River resort; limited local shuttle options exist and many services are seasonal. Walking and local biking are feasible in the village area; for trips to trailheads or dispersed attractions a car is required. Taxis and local ride services are limited—book in advance, especially during ski season.
